Why is a Rug Pad Important?
01.
A quality rug pad is essential for ensuring the safety of your home. It provides a stable foundation, reducing the risk of trips, slips, and falls for you and your loved ones.
02.
A quality rug pad is essential for prolonging the life of your rug. By absorbing the pressure from foot traffic and furniture it helps reduce wear and tear on the rug's pile.
03.
A high-quality rug pad usually consists of several layers of material that help absorb pressure, ensure a firm grip on the floor and create a moisture barrier to safeguard your floors.

How to Vacuum a Handwoven Rug at Home
1. Flip the rug upside down, so the pile (walking surface) is facing down.
2. Raise your vacuum's beater heads to the highest position to reduce wear and tear to the pile surface.
3. Gently vacuum the (back side) of the rug, not going over the fringe on the ends of the rug or carpet. (May see dirt fly out from the edges of the rug).
Note: Always avoid vacuuming the side edge (selvedge) and the ends (fringe), as these areas are typically the first sections of a handmade rug to come apart.
